It pays to be prepared; our experience of managing logistics for major events and international sailing teams has taught us the importance of having stringent contingency and crisis management planning. It is not always possible to have a large enough team to implement these plans and this is where our experts at Pindar by MPL can assist.
Pindar by Manuport Logistics will work with you to develop a tailored contingency and crisis management plan to cover timelines and locations along your chosen route. Working with appropriate technicians we formulate capsize plans and boat recovery instructions and liaise with your own insurers, prior to and during an incident or emergency. We are very familiar with the responsibility of being first point of contact for maritime coastguard agencies, and collate and hold all vessel and crew documentation, as well as being comfortable with managing communications during an incident or emergency. Working with MPL offices worldwide, carefully selected agents choose our full clearing and forwarding services for all types of shipments to any destination.
With careful planning and advice on the appropriate method of temporary admission for various types of cargo, our customs clearance services will assist with the successful clearance of event infrastructure and vessel shipments, ensuring timely delivery for even the most complex multi-staged events.
Fully conversant with ATA Carnets, Carnet de passage, Temporary Admission under bond, Certificates of Origin, the Pindar by Manuport Logistics team will work up a solution that reduces the risk of clearance delays and follow-up with correct closure once the equipment has moved on.
We work with 40 MPL owned offices worldwide and trusted agents to provide a global customs clearance solution. In the UK, as part of MPL Services Ltd, Pindar by Manuport Logistics is an Approved Economic Operator appointed by Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) department. This is a quality mark recognizing us as a trusted customs clearance provider.
Our in-house software connects with the state-of-the-art UK customs clearance platform and, in the current Brexit landscape, the fiscal team is gearing up to 24/7, 365 day submissions.

We have a large pool of IATA trained personnel. DG notes, Carrier Approval, amendments to DG notes as per IMO department request are carried out in UK for all shipments globally. Where required, container labelling and DGN sign off at point of loading are carried out by Pindar ground staff at each venue. We ensure that any DG containers / items are moved under a separate BOL / AWB to avoid any delays to the rest of the shipment.
